Finance Director

The Position

We are currently looking for an ambitious Finance Director who will have the full responsibility of supporting the growth, on an international scale, of one of HBK’s key growing business units (Virtual Test).

Your primary function will be to head the Finance Business Partner function to ensure support to our Virtual Test division in its strategic trajectory, by challenging the status quo and bringing the business forward in its growth vision.

With a direct reporting line to the CFO, and 1 direct report to yourself, you will form part of an international Finance Partnering team consisting of 10 – 15 members globally.

The role can be done remotely within Europe, with a strong preference for candidates based close to one of our production sites (Royston, UK; Porto, Portugal; Darmstadt, Germany; Virum, Denmark) and is best suited to seasoned professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career.

Your strong commercial understanding, analytical abilities and ‘can-do’ attitude to become an active and sought-after financial sparring partner for relevant stakeholders in the organization, including the CEO, CFO and other senior leaders in the organization will enable you to thrive in this role, along with your passion for Business Partnering and drive to add value to the organization as follows:

Primary responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance Business Partnering function to support and drive the growth of one of HBK’s Virtual Test unit
• Create a high level of financial insight (data analytics, development of and follow-up on business cases, definition and tracking of KPIs, forecast of revenue and cost budgeting)
• Great focus on revenue and cost structures, with great ability to follow up on a variety of projects up to completion
• Management of reporting, business reviews with strong ability to present the data to management in a clear and digestible manner
• Financial analysis and performance follow up on a.o. business unit, project, production site and product level

Professional qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar relevant field
• 5-10 years experience in similar positions such as senior Finance Business Partner, senior Business Controller, or a similar role
• Experience from a software engineering company is an advantage
• Experience working in an international environment
• Previous people management experience would be an advantage, but is not essential
