Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Implementation Lead with expertise in indirect taxes to join our team. This role will lead business-intensive conversations with customers, understand their indirect tax process requirements, and implement our software solution to automate their indirect tax determination and compliance processes.

About the Role:

  • Lead customer-facing conversations to understand their business requirements and identify opportunities to automate their indirect tax processes using our software solution
  • Collaborate with the customer's tax domain experts to gather requirements, design, and implement indirect tax determination and compliance processes solutions using TR products
  • Ability to respond (along with research if required) to indirect tax related queries from the customer (for their business / industry in the country of operation)
  • Work closely with our technical consultants to ensure seamless implementation of the software solution, providing guidance on indirect tax domain-specific requirements
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to ensure successful implementation of the software solution
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their evolving business needs and identifying opportunities for future growth
  • Provide training and support to customers on the implemented software solution, focusing on indirect tax domain-specific aspects
  • Stay up-to-date with changing indirect tax regulations, legislation, and industry trends, ensuring our software solution remains compliant and relevant
  • Lead conversations with cross functional teams in relation to new client onboarding, assisting on Sales/Presales and client retention activities.
  • Work with partners and other domain experts to support the needs of clients.
  • Creating reusable assets for industry and country specific solutions

About you :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field like Professional certification (CA / ICWA) is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software implementation, with a focus on indirect tax automation or a related domain OR Relevant experience working with Tax advisory firms with a focus on indirect tax automation and implementation
  • Strong domain expertise in indirect taxes, including VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Use Tax, and other relevant taxes; Experience on ERP processes is a plus.
  • Proven experience in leading customer-facing conversations, gathering requirements, and implementing software solutions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex business problems.
