Here at Gousto we have an exciting opportunity in the form of a Head of Finance (Operations & Cost) based in our Financial Controls team. Reporting into the Financial Director you will be responsible for business partnering with our EVP Operations Office, looking at cost, budget and ROI across our factory sites. As well as manage a high performing team including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Labour and Finance Systems.

As the Head of Finance you will work cross functionally with different teams & stakeholders including Operations, People, as well as Commercial Finance. If you are an experienced leader within Finance and have experience of both business partnering and leading a team then this could be the perfect opportunity!

Core Responsibilities

• Business partner the Operations Leadership teams to highlight actual factory performance (labour and waste), prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, and drive performance improvements.
• Active participation in setting the Operations long term strategy, with outputs inputted into the company 5 year plan.
• Manage overhead costs for Operations and Central functions such as Engineering, IT and People. Preparation of variance reports, budgets and forecasts is also within the remit.
• Ownership of cost centre reporting across the business, supporting cost centre owners but also challenging them to stay within budget.
• Working with the Site Leadership, Engineering and IT teams to update capex and exceptional forecasts
• Oversee the Accounts Payable team to ensure the efficient processing of invoices, collection of credit notes, management of supplier relationships and operation of key controls
• Oversee the Payroll team, ensuring strong customer (employee) engagement and all compliance objectives filed On Time in Full
• Ensure the financial integrity of Dynamics 365 ERP system
• Drive automation agenda within the Finance team, including D365

Who You Are

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience of leading a team a team at Senior or Head of Level
• Strong financial business partnering experience
• Experience with cost management in a manufacturing or retail environment would be hugely beneficial
• Comfortable working at a high pace and using judgement to make decisions
• Able to distil complex financial information into easy-to-understand messaging for a non-finance audience
• Can operate in the detail but able to see the bigger picture
• Confidence in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
• Proficient in time management and prioritisation
• Proven track record in developing & managing a team
• Thrives in operating as a finance leader
• Excited about automation opportunities within finance
• An understanding of the accounts payable and payroll processes is a plus
