We're on an ambitious journey, and we're looking for a strategic finance lead(?) to help build our Strategic Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial operations and partnering with senior leadership to drive long-term growth.

In this role, you'll leverage your experience to help the company establish a robust Strategic Finance foundation, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You'll work on a talented but small team in developing robust financial planning, strategic analysis, and regular reporting processes to inform key strategic decisions. Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance and Investor Relations, you'll be a key partner to business unit leaders, providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support informed decision-making.

This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY and Santa Monica, CA. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Play an active role in building out our high-performing strategic finance team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop their strategic financial plans, annual goals, and multi-year forecasts.
  • Oversee the processes for financial forecasting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate complex financial data into actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the Strategic Finance team.

Who You Are

  • 5-10 years of experience in strategic finance, Investment Banking/Equity Research, Consulting or a related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly with senior executives.
  • Deep understanding of best practices in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear and concise insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience building and implementing financial models, with expert proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with financial systems and data analytics tools (e.g., TM1, Essbase, Anaplan, etc.) a plus.

$190,000 - $240,000 a year

The anticipated gross base annual salary range for this role is $190,000 – $240,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
