- Support the local stations by maintaining electronic and digital equipment to support News production and other on-air broadcast and streaming requirements
- Troubleshoot complex ENG systems, SDI video routers, microwave systems, ENG Vehicles, Cellular Bonded News Gathering systems as well as other broadcast & production systems
- Strong understanding of Newsroom Control systems and automation workflows
- Read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot analog and digital equipment to the component level
- Troubleshoot and respond in a timely fashion to maintenance needs
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds above the waist
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in broadcast maintenance engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience with digital microwave transmission systems, fixed and portable as well as digital encoder systems
- Working knowledge ENG and Satellite transmission maintenance and repair
- Knowledge and experience in studio switching systems, automation control, graphics systems and audio systems in News, production, and on-air environments
