Operations Manager / Director

We are seeking a Operations Manager or Director to join the OpenOcean family.

At OpenOcean, you will have a front-row seat to the most exciting startups and technologies in Europe.

Main responsibilities

• Coordination of value creation activities across the OpenOcean portfolio, implementation and follow-ups on value creation plans.
• Ownership of our portfolio reporting process including fund reports and our OKR’s for portfolio development.
• Assisting the investment team with deal evaluation and value creation planning for new portfolio companies.
• Ownership of ESG related matters and compliance at OpenOcean and supporting the portfolio companies with their ESG initiatives.
• Managing the valuation of the funds and underlying assets in cooperation with our back office and investment team.
• Support the back office in administrative responsibilities such as KYC/AML and legal processes.
• Ownership of OpenOcean’s IT infrastructure.

Requirements

• Background: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Some combination of entrepreneurship, startups or scaleups, venture capital, private equity, consulting, business development or similar is a must.
• Experience in leadership and cross functional project management is required
• Experience from legal, regulatory and compliance matters is considered a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Academic background: Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Administration, Law or other relevant field
