The Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving is responsible for creating new corporate and foundation partnerships for the agency while maintaining current relationships. This includes program support and grants, event sponsorships, joint marketing/branding opportunities and occasional governmental funding opportunities.
This individual provides leadership and project management to all corporate parntership activations, cause-related marketing campaigns, corporate volunteerism, grants, and is responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of corporate and foundation partners and their employees, Board of Directors and key stakeholders. This individual is responsible for networking and positively demonstrating the image and mission of our agency to the public. This individual will need to demonstrate strong initiative, multi-project management, leadership and communication skills.
The Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving will report to the Director of Development. The position provides a flexible work arrangement by working at Easterseals of SEPA headquarters in Philadelphia, from division offices, remotely, and onsite with partners and at events..
Responsibilities:
- Meet annual goals for NET revenue raised, number of prospects reached, and stewardship activities important to building relationships for Easterseals’ mission.
- Maintains and expands base of corporate partner and foundation relationships through active solicitation, stewardship, phone calls and meetings, and ensure timely renewals and continued partnership growth Year over Year
- Identify, cultivate and solicit corporate partnerships at local and national levels and develop trusted relationships acting as primary point of contact
- Research prospects to evaluate mission alignment
- Maintain high volume of daily touchpoints (email, phone calls) to identify and retain donors
- Aggressively increase organizational revenue, utilizing a blend of traditional and nontraditional fundraising strategies
- Review current relationships, creating cultivation plans to increase retention and profitability
- Ensure compliance of agency with all appropriate reporting, legal and regulatory requirements of governmental agencies and funders
- Work in conjunction with the development team, Board members, current sponsors, and supporters in the cultivation and solicitation process
- Leverage personal and professional network to open doors for Easterseals
- Project management across all departments to ensure collaboration, strategy development, streamlined communication and coordinated execution
- Utilize CRM software to organize, maintain and track data on corporate and foundation partners; providing accurate and timely reporting inclusive of revenue and expense forecasts
- Adapts to changing trends to retain and create new revenue streams
- Develops comprehensive and compelling proposals to drive investment from corporate and private foundation partners
- Gather donor feedback and data and provide strategic direction for benefit fulfillment and stewardship.
- Travel and attend events, meetings and conferences to cultivate relationships with existing/new partners while serving as a positive ambassador for the organization
- Generate project reports and budget forecasts in a timely manner
- Discharge any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in marketing, communications or other related field OR commensurate experience
- Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in fundraising, account management, cause marketing, sales and/or grant writing
- Success in securing $20,000+ and multi-year commitments through sponsorships/corporate partnerships and grant investments
- Highly proactive, autonomous, with experience meeting deadlines and balancing competing priorities
- Excellent oral and communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Trustworthy with ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in handling data and information
- Ability to work flexible and, at times, demanding hours, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with skills to work with CRM database.
- Ability to obtain Criminal record/fingerprint clearances
- Valid Driver’s License with ability to travel throughout the territory served by the agency and on occasion travel “out of town”, including overnight trips.
