About The Role:

The Sr. Systems Engineer will lead the technical implementation of system requirements, breaking them down into detailed specifications for various engineering teams. This role is pivotal in integrating subsystems, overseeing testing, and addressing technical challenges. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as is managing technical documentation and supporting the product throughout its lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of product requirements, and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives. Specifically, in the Digital Health division, the Sr. Systems Engineer will leverage their experience in the medical and/or biomedical fields, applying their engineering acumen to innovate in physiological applications. This position is critical to enhancing their product development efficiency and accelerating market entry, particularly as they aim to revolutionize wearable technology. Our focus is on creating garment-embedded electronic products and solutions that redefine the nexus of technology and human interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Solutions Architect in the definition and design of the system architecture, ensuring it aligns with product requirements and objectives.
  • Integrate various subsystems and components to create a coherent and functional product.
  • Analyze customer and stakeholder requirements to ensure the product meets expectations.
  • Develop testing protocols and validate the product's performance and functionality.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the development process.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system design, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Manage communication and reporting to customers and internal stakeholders on programs overseen in the role.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and program managers, to meet program goals.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of the product.
  • Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies related to the system and its integration within the product.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure the product complies with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide support for the product throughout its lifecycle, including updates, maintenance, and end-of-life considerations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product development processes.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) plus years of experience in system engineering, ideally in a product development environment with applications in medical and/or biomedical, and wearables.
  • A BS and/or MS in a related field such as biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or systems engineering is required.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, system architecture design, and integration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to convey complex technical information and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges and make critical decisions to ensure the product's success.
  • Experience in designing and conducting tests to validate the performance and functionality of systems and products.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system design documents and user manuals.
  • Understanding of project management principles, as system engineers often work on projects with defined timelines and budgets.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and the ability to ensure products meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including hardware and software engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to analyze and synthesize complex information, make data-driven decisions, and manage resources efficiently.
