QA Automation Senior Engineer

You will be part of the QA Automation Team in EMS Engineering reporting to the Software QA Manager. You spearhead the automated test of complex projects and are the source of knowledge for different technologies and systems. You contribute to establishing testing best practices and processes as well as in the improvement of our quality systems and tools. You share knowledge with the team on test technologies that will help us to deliver high quality software.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

• Write readable, maintainable, high-performance automation scripts.
• Develop high quality test plans and test cases.
• Write and design functional specifications for use in testing.
• Prepare estimates for assigned tasks and complete all work according to schedule and quality requirements.
• Provide ongoing feedback on deliverables and status reports.
• Acquire the necessary knowledge to perform job assignments (technology, product, and process).
• Document and share technical information and processes.
• Improve our automated testing systems.
• Set up and create test environments and frameworks.
• Effectively communicate with product and design during new feature reviews and throughout product development.
• Work with QA, Product and Development to automate manual test cases.
• Continuously review and improve test methodologies, strategies, tools, and measurement of these processes.
• Work closely with Agile Teams to develop comprehensive automated test suites providing maximum test coverage in the most efficient manner.

Requirements

What your background looks like:

• Proficient in coding with Python for automation purposes.
• Proficient in coding with JS.
• Proficient in working with CI/CD implementations.
• Extensive knowledge in analyzing business requirements and performing different types of testing.
• Extensive knowledge in QA automation frameworks including creation, maintenance, and improvement.
• Knowledge of Agile or scrum software development methodologies.
• Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects.
• Ability to quickly learn complex, highly configurable application software.
• Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team, capable of forming and maintaining positive and productive working relationships and comfortable in a team leadership capacity.
• Possess excellent overall attention to detail, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

• 5+ years of functional testing experience delivering test plans, test scripts and test cases.
• 5+ years of automation experience with proficiency in designing, creating, and executing automated test cases.
• 5+ years of QA Automation experience using Python.
• Experience in AWS is a plus.
• Experience in Scala is a plus.
