Systems Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for a Systems Engineer (Azure, AWS) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Valetta, Malta. The work will be carried out either on site at the customer’s premises or remotely. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Identify hardware, software and network problems and propose recovery solutions;
• Perform regular maintenance on hardware, network, and software components;
• Configure system architecture design and systems and cloud resources engineering;
• Maintain security and functionality through application of approved software patches;
• Upgrade/Migrate Microsoft Windows server instances to latest OS versions;
• Maintain an accurate enterprise configuration management.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with IaaS and PaaS resources administration (Azure-AWS);
• Experience with Windows Server (VMs, AD, ADFS, MIM) and Modern Authentication administration (ENTRA ID, OAUTH 2/Open ID/SAML);
• Experience with Automated configuration management of on-premises and Cloud Infrastructure (Ansible, Terraform);
• Very good knowledge of Incident Management;
• Experience with Load Balancer (Application Gateway), Web Application Firewall and Ubuntu Linux server management will be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language and good understanding of French language.
