The Matian Firm, APC in Los Angeles is looking to add a Payroll/Benefits Administrative Support - On Site to our growing team! We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/Benefits Administrative Support to provide support to the Payroll/Benefit Supervisor. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-growth, dynamic environment, contributing to both payroll and benefits operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit invoices related to payroll and benefits.
  • Audit state tax jurisdictions.
  • Support payroll/benefits team.
  • Handle day-to-day payroll functions, including new hire orientation, terminations, direct deposits, and more for 300+ employees
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, state taxes, wage and hour laws, and local tax requirements
  • Oversee benefits enrollments in HRIS, conduct quality checks, and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries
  • Respond to 401(k) inquiries, manage annual catch-up contribution enrollment, and assist with the open enrollment process
  • Type reports, memos, letters, and documents using relevant computer software.
