About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner to join our dynamic Digital Global Functions Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for driving product innovation. This role will involve managing the product lifecycle, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of products that meet business objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for:

Product Ownership:

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog based on business goals, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure alignment of the product vision with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and validate that the final product meets the defined requirements.

Program Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate product status, risks, and issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to ensure the product meets their needs and expectations.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve product development and project management processes.
  • Implement best practices and tools to enhance team productivity and product quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product ownership and/or program management roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex products.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent product management skills, including the ability to define and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Strong functional and technical background with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Understanding of various processes such as Order to Cash (OTC), Source to Pay (S2P), Record to Report (RTR), Payroll, and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, etc.).

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience in a tech-savvy environment, with a focus on digital transformation and innovation.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar are a plus.
