Battery EV Charging System Management Engineer

We’re currently looking for a Battery EV Charging System Management Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.

This role will be responsible for technical support of Nissan North America’s EV battery Powertrain activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping define future vehicle and battery EV charging requirements.

Job functions include but are not limited to:

• Charging test management for prototype vehicles
• Project PDCA management to achieve QCT in terms of charging system
• Development of local charging test partnership and preparation for efficient test
• Work with Nissan Japan charging testing team to develop new validation method of battery EV charging performance
• Work with the total customer service team to analysis and countermeasure the charging related market issue to secure the charging experience in the US.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in High voltage engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive engineering, charging infrastructure or engineering service.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to deliver creative solutions to complex problems in an environment without established processes
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, cross-functional environment with other technical and non-technical disciplines both internal and external
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters
• Knowledge of charging, electric vehicle supply equipment and high voltage measurement method
