Field Training Manager – Remote United States

Field Training Manager

This position is responsible for leading the national technical training team and their delivery of programs for Allegion customers and sales consultants. The role will work closely with Sales, Field Marketing, Product Management and Marketing, and other members of the Training Team to provide training tools that meet the needs of the target audiences and that provide best-in-class learner experiences. The Field Training Manager will also manage or assist in the management of initiatives and projects where consultation and/or the development of new training is requested. This position reports directly to the Training Director and partners closely with the Instructional Design Manager to effectively prioritize the development of new learning resources.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the efforts of the Field Training Team in support of the Allegion portfolio. In collaboration with stakeholders, determine the priority learning needs, the scope and objectives of new learning solutions, and the strategy for deploying the National Technical Trainers
  • Support the National Technical Trainers and the Customer Training Specialist through coaching, performance management, career development, mentorship, and the sharing of business priorities and plans
  • Lead the Customer Training Specialist and associated external vendors in the scheduling, support, and execution of the in-person and virtual classes conducted by the National Technical Trainers
  • Recommend training interventions based on the assessment of training needs. Constantly look for innovative learning mechanisms to address the needs of our customers and sales consultants. Recommend alternate interventions when training is not the solution
  • Measure and report on the utilization and effectiveness of the field training programs
  • Effectively manage resources, including vendors, budgets, travel, and subject-matter experts
  • Share best practices, processes, and people across the overall training team to maximize resources to meet the priorities of the organization
  • Manage operational processes associated with training equipment and classroom materials
  • Effectively manage all aspects of training projects including scoping, partnerships, timelines, quality, and delivery.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing high performing teams (experience managing remote teams preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in door hardware and/or the security technology industry
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Four-year degree in Business, Education, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Dedication to the development and engagement of employees and learners through servant leadership
  • A background in leading and/or designing technical training programs
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
  • Acumen for the business conditions, market influences, and organizational factors that drive the need for training solutions
  • Demonstrated competency in the editing and evaluation of learning interventions for a broad range of audiences and skill levels
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and be naturally curious
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders and subject matter-experts to gather, clarify, and apply information
  • Skillfulness at communicating clearly, succinctly, and with precision
  • Learning agility
  • Ability to travel 20%

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $103,000 – $182,200. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
