Product Training Manager – LCN/Von Duprin

Allegion is looking for an experienced product training manager to join our team of experts in the door hardware and security industry. In this role, you’ll serve as the national trainer for LCN, Von Duprin and Fire Life Safety. You’ll be primarily responsible for delivering training on your assigned product portfolio to our Allegion customers and Allegion Sales Team. Our Product Training Managers collaborate closely with internal teams such as Sales, Field Marketing, Product Management, and each other to provide learning solutions that meet the needs of our target audiences and providing best-in-class learner experiences. This position reports to the Field Training Manager and is supported by our instructional designers and customer training specialist.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver engaging classroom training, both virtually and in person, for our customers, partners, and members of our internal sales force.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on your designated Allegion product portfolio, its primary competitors, and the broader market conditions and dynamics within our industry.
  • Continually identify unmet learning needs of target audiences, and seek out opportunities to expand our customer reach.
  • Partner with our instructional designers to improve training materials and ensure we’re using the best tools and resources in the field.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and advocate for our target learners when collaborating on the development of training programs and related initiatives.
  • Keep stakeholders up to date on the status, effectiveness, and roadmap of your training programs to foster maximum utilization of your expertise and training.
  • Collaborate with your peers on the Field Training Team to share best practices, innovate, and stay up to date on trends in the product and customer training fields.
  • Effectively manage your resources, including travel budgets and class materials.
  • Continue your professional growth by deepening your expertise and insights in the architectural hardware and access control industries as well as in the field of training and adult learning.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Allegion Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams, supporting demand creation and an enhanced selling experience.
  • Experience the intrinsic rewards that come with helping others become more skilled in their professions.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Proficiency in delivering technical training using learner-focused activities (in other words, very little lecture) for a broad range of audiences
  • At least 10 years’ experience in working with access control or architectural hardware products
  • Four-year degree in business, engineering, education, communications, or other related program of study preferred
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills, both in-person and virtually
  • Experience managing classroom groups of up to 30 students, and facilitating breakout and group activities
  • Business acumen and learning agility are highly desired
  • An aptitude for listening closely, deciphering questions, and refraining from making assumptions before responding to learner questions
  • The confidence and disposition to work somewhat independently while collaborating virtually with many
  • Ability to travel up to 75% across the United States
  • Ability to lift cases of 60 pounds
