Print Software Insight Program Manager

Description -

Responsible for Print SW Portfolio Management and Executive Summary of Print SW Roadmap delivery versus commitments and performance against predictability metrics. Mentor Portfolio Mgmt and Delivery team to deliver insights while evaluating and implementing process improvements. Coordinate with Data Analyst in order to pull data to support conclusions.

Candidates for this role will have excellent communication skills. They should have experience with the SW development life cycle and cross-organizational knowledge to navigate escalations and distill to an executive view on issue, impact and choice points.

Responsibilities:

  • Plays a critical role in the delivery of various software engineering projects and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.
  • Strategically partners with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
  • Partners with cross-functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.
  • Assists in the creation of technology strategy and engineering roadmaps and ensures solid rollout plans for changes.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experienced in managing human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation).
  • Expert business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Strong understanding of HP's policies and processes.

Scope & Impact:

  • Drives the data and insights of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.
  • Provides guidance for junior team members.
  • Oversees the overall quality of work of the General team.
  • Decisions may have organizational impacts of up to a year.

Complexity:

  • High: Extensive cross-functional/cross-organizational senior management interface; deals with complex strategic issues.
  • Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in HP’s most complex disciplines.
  • Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 10+ years of Software Engineering experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $118,050 -- $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
