This position is responsible for designing complex data pipeline for data extraction, transformation and loading to and from different components and system. A Sr. Data Engineer has the vision to work with data across multiple systems. This position works independently and is seen as a senior data engineer. The position is responsible for driving the design and development efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability, and performance of data steaming and processing ETL pipeline in alignment with the product/application roadmap.
As a Sr Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Performing source data mapping and modelling aligned with the product strategy.
- Performing integration of multiple data source-formats using various ETL tools, scripts, and stored procedures.
- Implementing different data integration methods like integration via API endpoints.
- Performing a variety of data transformations to support analytics models.
- Deploy machine learning (ML) models.
- Writing unit tests and integration tests to validate quality of data ETL process.
- Improving and automating existing ETL process for performance and scalability.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Data Operations.
- Have good understanding of logical and physical data models and data lineage.
- Have good understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
- Experience in building microservices using Flask or Node.js would be a plus.
- Exposure to working in an Agile environment.
- Exposure to MLOps would be an added advantage.
- Exposure to MS Azure would be an added advantage.
- Experience of working with databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB would be an added advantage.
