Job Description Summary

Leads initiatives to analyze complex business/product problems to be solved with automated systems. Advises teams by providing technical and strategic insights to identify and address business/product issues and opportunities and ensures that technical procedures align with the business/product vision. Responsible for acting as the primary interface between technology and a specific business product. Identifies needs of the users/customers and recommends alternative methods for meeting those needs. Facilitator of knowledge sessions with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the company. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable. Works under limited direction Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives. Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines. College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has 3-5 years related experience.

We are a fast-paced team that manages the contract lifecycle technology in Freddie Mac Single-Family.

Your Impact:

  • Assist the Product Owner to write user stories and edit acceptance criteria, making sure each story aligns to the feature objective
  • Proactively bring ideas to the table to increase value to our customers, recognizing roadblocks early, and presenting ideas and options to key partners
  • Troubleshoot product questions and technical challenges
  • Facilitate meetings to bring tech and non-tech partners together to innovate and problem solve
  • Create test scripts and test product features
  • Demo solution options, existing functionality, and new functionality in various business settings
  • Understand and proactively utilize agile practices
  • Actively participate in all agile ceremonies to understand concerns from developers'/testers/ leadership and provide strategic solutioning to roadblocks.
  • Use applications including Jira, Teams, Confluence, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, ServiceNow, Icertis, Salesforce
  • Understand and quickly learn Icertis and Salesforce technology and value
  • Understand and quickly learn business use cases and needs
  • Quickly responds and provides support to stakeholders for production issues and questions
  • Completes administrative updates and changes in production
  • Supports production releases by completing necessary steps part of the implementation plan and completes validations
  • Supports user acceptance testing (UAT), development, and deployment support (including conducting manual testing, providing functional configuration, and attending after hours deployments)
  • Ability to create concise material explaining complex topics to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Responsible for acting as the primary interface between technology infrastructure and specific business functional areas
  • Identify business unit requirements, create project, and process specifications, coordinate with application, product, and project teams to ensure that projects are on schedule and within budget
  • Update/Compile required documentation as needed
  • May have a dual reporting relationship to technology and to business functional unit management
  • Develops resolutions to problems of limited scope following specific detailed procedures
  • Qualified candidate will possess strong analytical skills
  • Additionally, the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Build and grow relationships with internal business partners and offer creative and innovative solutions to a variety of requests and issues.
  • Experience with access, SOX compliance requirements, audit, and deal flow processes are a plus, along with contracting processes and overall experience with Freddie Mac business also a plus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years of work experience
  • 3+ years of related experience in change management and/or business operations.
  • Knowledge and experience in the primary or secondary lending markets
  • In depth understanding of Freddie Mac system functionality highly desirable
  • Agile product delivery experience, including requirements gathering, writing user stories, and using Jira technology
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL experience
  • In depth understanding of Microsoft Excel โ€“ Formatting, formulas, and macros
  • A technical background (computer science degree/ certifications/ technical work experience) is highly desirable
  • Understanding of end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Ability to work outside of usual 9-5 hours (in addition to the normal hours). Average expected after hours work include:
    • Template updates: ~2x per week (1 hr. each)
    • Application Deployment: 4x per year (4 hrs. each)
    • Support for infrastructure changes: 4x per year (2 hrs. each)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, technical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to manage multiple requests and tasks against tight timelines

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $75,000 - $113,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
