Spotlight Sports Group is a global media and technology company specialising in sports betting content and data. With more than 450 staff, the business operates multiple award-winning brands, including Racing Post, the world’s largest horse racing affiliate, Pickswise, the #1 post-PASPA affiliate in the US, myracing and Free Super Tips. Our other businesses in the group are ICS-digital and ICS-translate. Our global B2B division provides sports betting and fantasy sports content, including in-play, through the EGR award-winning Superfeed product.

Our SEO team is growing, and we’re looking for an SEO Content Executive to help increase organic search traffic across the group by devising and overseeing the execution of the SEO strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on leading sports betting affiliates in both the UK and US, with a particular focus on our flagship brand, Racing Post.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the delivery of the content SEO strategy across the group to drive an increase in organic traffic and revenue for the business.
  • Conduct on-page audits to identify optimisation opportunities for individual landing pages and websites.
  • Optimise on-page elements of a webpage such as header tags, metadata, image alt tags, internal links, and body copy with the targeted use of keywords.
  • Conduct keyword research and gap analysis to identify target keywords relevant and valuable to the business.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses in site visibility, backlink profiles, and keyword ranking strategies.
  • Compile performance reports of key metrics and KPIs, including but not limited to web traffic, keyword rankings, user engagement, link acquisition, and conversion.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-led environment and delivering work against agreed deadlines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an SEO role is not essential, but advantageous.
  • Passionate and driven individual with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Competent in Excel and data-driven.
  • Excellent content writing skills, flexible in style and tone of voice.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of sports and sports betting is desirable.

Benefits

We offer a range of well-being initiatives, including private medical insurance, excellent parental leave, a working globally policy, mental health support, assistance programs, and social gatherings. We also provide a pension scheme and various other benefit schemes. Plus, we all get our birthdays off work and enjoy 25 days of holiday per year.

We’ve also got you covered with life assurance and exclusive perks like the Star card and our Step Further Awards (our employee recognition program) to recognise your dedication. For those working via the hybrid model (in the office and at home) we’ve made commuting easier with our Season Ticket Loan and Cycle to Work Scheme.

You can also take advantage of complimentary access to our Racing Post Members Club, complete with an Ultimate Membership. We believe in making a positive impact beyond the workplace, and you'll have the chance to volunteer two days per year with our charity partner, Autism in Racing.
