. The Manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. informing and consulting the Principal Investigator on budgeting, rules and restrictions on project administration, the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and internal regulatory documents of the University, the procedure for processing documents, the current status of the project and obligations under contracts, requests within the project;

  2. joint preparation of a calendar plan for the implementation of the research project;

  3. collection and processing of requests from the Principal Investigator and research assistants upon approval from Principal Investigator;

  4. interaction with structural units and subsidiaries of the University on issues related to research projects;

  5. providing advisory and methodological assistance to the staff of the School on issues of research administration within one's competence; - conducting correspondence in the circle of one's functional duties;

  6. conducting correspondence in the circle of one's functional duties;

  7. assisting in the preparation of technical specifications of purchased goods, works and services in the framework of project implementation;

  8. taking part in the collection of primary documents necessary for the acquisition of goods, works and services in the framework of project implementation;

  9. negotiating with experts to formalize the technical specifications with the needs of the project;

  10. initializing the requests for the purchase of consumables and equipment (intangible assets);

  11. taking part in the acceptance, inspection, testing of purchased equipment and supplies for the project as a member of the acceptance committee;

  12. negotiating with contractors for the technical execution of agreements within the framework of their authority;

  13. timely and proper execution of agreements for the provision of scientific assistance services and contracts within the budget for a scientific project for the corresponding financial year;

  14. the formation of requests for payment, certificate of rendered services in accordance with the terms of contracts and agreements;

  15. on project administration in terms of payroll and taxes conduct joint work with the HR managers of the School to conclude an employment contract / additional agreements and the ensuing issues from this decision;

  16. timely and proper documentation of publications, works and services made by affiliated organizations, travel expenses, student travel, registration and membership fees within the budget for a research project for the corresponding financial year;

  17. preparing paperwork necessary for the accounting of purchased consumables and equipment (intangible assets), work and services and other expenses in the framework of project implementation;

  18. taking part in the formation (adjustment) of the annual (medium-term) budget of the School in the framework of the supervised area, with the collection and formation of supporting documents;

  19. monitoring the implementation of the annual budget within the supervised direction and making proposals for adjustment;

  20. monitoring the correctness of the reflection of expenses in the accounting system and consolidate with the Department of Finance to make adjustments;

  21. preparing reports on budget execution with explanatory notes with a full description of the reasons for deviations in the context of supervised projects item costs;

  22. preparing necessary documents for making proposals for consideration of the Research Committee of the School and the Research Council of the University;

  23. performs duties (replaces) of the Manager for research administration of the School during his/her temporary absence (for up to one month).

  24. timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University management;

  25. observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the internal documents of the University;

  26. responsible for compliance with labor and service discipline;

  27. responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, as well as preventing the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as restricted access information in accordance with the legislation, the Charter and internal documents of the Employer;

  28. in case of dismissal, responsible for the timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee at the direction of the line manager (according to the act of acceptance and transfer).

Requirements

Education:

Higher professional education, preferably in higher educational institutions with English language of instruction;

Priority areas of specialties:

- business Administration;
- project Management;
- management;
- economics;
- finance;
- law

Work experience:

With a Bachelor's degree / Specialist - at least three years;
At least 1 year with a master's degree in the relevant field.

Knowledge

- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;

- knowledge of Google products (Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms, Slides, Drive), basic knowledge of 1C Enterprise;

- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint programs.
