Job Summary:

  • The Senior Manager, Digital Product oversees a portfolio of AI/ML products, collaborating with interested groups to identify market needs and develop effective digital solutions for the Standards Organization
  • Helps lead the definition of a multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI/ML product focus area, emphasizing agile problem discovery and data-driven decision-making
  • The role stays informed about emerging technologies, trends, and innovative solutions, particularly in artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • They provide technical mentorship and leadership in AI
  • Additionally, the Senior Manager actively engages with data science methodologies, leveraging data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to enhance product development and drive digital transformation within the organization

Responsibilities:

  • Identify AI/ML product development opportunities that relate to digital transformation to create new business and drive operational efficiencies with the Standards’ Leadership team
  • Lead the definition of a multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for the digital product focus area working closely with stakeholders within digital and the rest of the organization
  • Lead multiple problem discoveries at any time to understand end-user needs, and current challenges and work closely with design and development partners to come up with solutions
  • Use data to drive decisions. Build a hypothesis, test & iterate to formulate an agile product development approach
  • Define clear outcomes and goals for each initiative with associated KPIs/Metrics to ensure success and alignment with the overall vision and strategy; define the “What” and the “Why” as part of problem discovery
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify future opportunities for growth for their product; establish self as a subject matter expertise
  • Understands and keeps up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and innovative solutions, especially in the artificial intelligence and machine learning space
  • Develop relationships with significant external and internal stakeholders to identify new digital product development funding and/or opportunities; lead proposal negotiation, development, and contracting as required
  • Provides regular management reporting and analysis
  • Lead the collaboration with cross-functional teams to operationalize and deploy AI/ML models into production environments
  • Proven experience in overseeing and optimizing MLOps platforms, including architecture design and infrastructure management
  • Understanding of data pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model deployment for model versioning, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Implement best practices for monitoring and logging solutions to track model performance, data drift, and system health
  • Ensure security, compliance, and robustness of AI/ML systems
  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and DevOps teams to streamline the end-to-end ML product development lifecycle

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields. An MBA or a Master’s in a related field is a plus.
  • 8 + years of digital or emerging technology (AI/ML) product management experience
  • 3-5 years of people management experience
  • Experience with proposal writing and contract development
  • Digital Product and AI//ML Product Management certification and industry experience as an asset

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written skills including the ability to present to senior leaders
  • Ability to research, propose, and execute effective AI/ML product plans
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including handling multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to develop and build outstanding internal and external relationships at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff to achieve results
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
