About This Role

The Associate Director, Scientific Communications - Rare Disease (Neuromuscular) is a member of the Global Scientific Capabilities department within Medical Affairs and will lead the publication team for our Spinal Muscular Atrophy franchise. This person will report to the Head of Scientific Communications for Rare Disease, Pipeline, and Neuropsychiatry.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Global Medical on the development of the overall scientific communications strategy

• Provide scientific communications expertise and leadership for assigned products, including publications and the global scientific platform; provide input into the overall scientific communications strategy

• Ensure that materials are developed in a manner consistent with Biogen SOPs and other relevant guidelines, such as GPP 2022

• Lead cross-functional team meetings and drive the production of scientific communications materials, often under tight timelines

• Manage external vendors and ensure that all materials are developed in a cost-effective manner and are consistent with the strategic thinking for a given product
