Enterprise Data Governance, Senior Director

The Chief Data Office (CDO) is a first line function that provides execution support for critical data governance and data management activities. The Chief Data Office guides the evolution of RBC’s data strategy and influences strategic investments in data to support business strategy and regulatory compliance. This senior director position is an enterprise role leading Enterprise Data Governance within the Chief Data Office reporting to the VP of Shared Data Management Services & Governance.

What is the opportunity?

• Lead data governance execution strategy to ensure data risk management is consistent, effective, and efficient in practice across RBC globally.
• Function as main CDO liaison to the second line. Review current data management and related policies and standards along with synthesis of current and upcoming regulatory landscape, findings, and external industry trends to provide gaps and recommend opportunities for improvement.
