Insights Analyst

As the Insights Analyst, you will deliver insights to stakeholders to help embed and inform data-driven decision-making and processes, leading to better experiences for our customers. You will deliver efficient and accurate business insights using the most appropriate delivery tool for the task at hand. You will also play a vital role in uplifting business users in their ability to interpret and extrapolate insights from raw data and information. Your business and technical expertise will enable you to generate innovative ideas, metrics, and visualisations to drive strategic and operational solutions. You will be working closely with Senior Insights Analysts/Insights Business partners, making this role crucial to upholding strong customer focus is carried throughout all data-informed decisions and analysis.

The role requires an analytical mind and someone who is genuinely passionate and curious about how we understand our customers, our brand and our product offering. The role will require deep-dive information analysis, results interpretation and creative storytelling to influence key stakeholders within the local and global organisation.

With our HQ in Brisbane, we also have offices in Darwin, Sydney, Auckland, and Wellington. Your day-to-day...

• Extracting business information from data and working directly with business stakeholders to communicate insights.
• Strong ability to communicate complicated analytical techniques and results in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Extract, interpret, and present operational data to build business insight.
• Communicate insights to business stakeholders in a manner that aids and informs
• Contribute to the execution of the Insights strategy and employ strong data governance across the organisation.
• Develop operational and analytical reports, dashboards, datasets, and other reporting tools for various departments.
• Contribute to an innovative environment that transitions the reporting function from a reactive, task-based group to a proactive, forward-looking team that helps guide the business.

What you’ll bring...

• Strong analytical skills including a talent for interpreting business requirements and translating them into business insights.
• Extracting business information from data and working directly with business stakeholders to communicate insights.
• Strong ability to communicate complicated analytical techniques and results in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Inquisitive and insightful with a passion for analytics and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience using the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack - SQL Server, SSRS with solid T-SQL query skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate to all levels within the business are essential. A willingness to learn with a pro-active personality and a good work ethic are equally vital.
