Head of Consultant Engagement

Cromwell Hospital, Kensington London SW5 0TU

Permanent, Fulltime 37.5 hours per week

Salary up to £85k dependant on experience.

Fixed Term contract 12 months

Consultants that work at Cromwell Hospital are world class specialists. The Head of Consultant Engagement is a pivotal role that supports our consultants and ensures that Cromwell Hospital is their preferred destination.

Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a first-class experience for our consultants, you will protect and drive hospital performance and profitability through impactful and effective consultant engagement opportunities in line with the hospital’s commercial and clinical strategy.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and oversee an effective consultant engagement and retention strategy, using data and insight to make impactful recommendations that will improve general consultant experience and retention.
  • Be the main contact for key consultants, building up a strong rapport and designing and delivering individual and consultant group engagement plans.
  • Be visible and present in the hospital, taking a flexible and hands-on approach to any trouble shooting required.
  • Make suggestions to enhance clinical pathways and partnerships to improve the consultant experience. Work closely with and support the Head of Development to ensure consultant buy-in for new developments and pathways.
  • Oversee and drive the onboarding of strategic consultants.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the wider commercial strategy, leverage a well-rounded understanding of the healthcare environment in the UK to shape the business development and growth strategy. Use your consultant network and insight to make recommendations for development.
  • Act as a senior member of the department and support and grow the wider Consultant Engagement team.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working with consultants and within a hospital environment essential
  • First-class relationship building and relationship management skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Good financial acumen
  • Demonstrable line management and team leadership experience at a senior level
