Senior Director, S/4HANA Lead Management Accounting

As part of our ongoing pursuit of excellence, we will be kicking off a significant Transformation Project to introduce S/4HANA, and as such we have created a number of positions to support this enterprise project.

The new position of Senior Director, S/4HANA Lead Management Accounting will be one of the key workstream-leads in the business. The successful incumbent will ensure global business requirements are translated into standardized concepts for the A2D (Analysis to decide) workstream, as part of Lonza’s initiative to replace its existing ERP software with the newest version of SAP (S/4HANA).

The role is accountable for all deliverables of this stream including their formal approval, from design to implementation. As an experienced Finance professional, the job holder coordinates the project with all relevant key stakeholder and leads a team of functional experts.

Sub-Project Leader of the Stream Management Accounting is responsible to:

• Lead the team of functional experts assigned to this stream
• Accountable for the deliverables of this stream including formal approval
• Develop a detailed plan outlining the tasks, milestones and deliverables of this stream
• Coordinate with the S/4HANA project management in terms of timeline and milestones
• Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure team adheres to deadlines
• Communicate project status, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders regularly
• Identify and assess risks associated to the stream and develop mitigation strategies
• Facilitate workshops and discussions related to decision-making in this stream
• Work with process experts to analyse existing processes and identify improvements
• Collaborate with team to gather and review requirements as well as design solutions
• Ensure that functional requirements and solutions align with the overall objectives
• Cooperate with the Consultants and IT Experts to address solution related questions
• Organize prototype review sessions with relevant stakeholders to verify system build
• Collaborate with data specialists to ensure a smooth transition of data to S/4HANA
• Plan and organize system, process and data testing for assigned stream
• Prepare, plan and organize training materials and training execution
• Establish Key User Community in the area or responsibility
• Accountable for change management and control related to assigned stream

Key requirements:

• Significant experience in Management Accounting, within a manufacturing / production company.
• Previous experience of Site Production Controlling would be advantageous
• Strong experience in Project Management (ideally with s/4HANA experience, but could also include significant transformation project experience)
• Track record of successful collaboration on projects, leading to positive business outcomes. Included in this collaboration is experience of successfully influencing and communicating with senior stakeholders.

This position is listed as based in the UK, but we could also consider candidates wanting to be located in other European countries (France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands).
