The Oklahoma History Center (OHC) houses the Oklahoma Historical Society’s (OHS) administration as well as the agency’s offices of State Historic Preservation Office, Museums & Sites, Research Division, and the Oklahoma History Center Museum. The OHS is an agency of the State of Oklahoma and a private membership organization governed by a Board of Directors.

The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
