Who We Are:

A dynamic and forward-thinking innovation team, Co-Create Lab, part of the GovTech Government Digital Transformation team (GDT) formed with the aim of propelling positive change and transformation. The team collaborates with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to develop impactful solutions that contribute to the nurturing of resilient individuals, strong families, and a caring society.

What you will be working on:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop prototypes to showcase technological capabilities, design system architectures, and write high-quality code to support the development of innovative solutions while ensuring high reliability in system maintenance. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of collaboration and overall advancement of our technological initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify pain points and challenges faced by MSF
• Lead the design, development, and implement of software solutions that to address identified problems.
• Prototype and iterate on potential solutions to ensure they are practical and scalable.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and reusable software systems.
• Collaborate with other leaders to create a long-term technical plan and roadmap.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to consistently enhance software development processes and solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement**.**

What we are looking for

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a software engineer or equivalent position with a focus on developing innovative solutions and prototypes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience in Angular, Apache Spark, Data Engineering or ETL will be advantageous.
• Proficient with cloud-native technology with a good grasp of DevOps practices.
• Experience in designing and developing applications in AWS cloud environment (RDS, Glue, Lambda, MSK) will be advantageous.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, driven, and possesses a strong aptitude for continuous learning.
• Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
• Familiarity with design thinking and human-centered design principles.
