Overview:

Climate Solutions is a unit within ISS ESG, the responsible investment business of ISS. As investors seek to gain a better understanding of their exposure to climate-related risks, Climate Solutions provides data, analytics, and advisory services to support investors to understand, measure, and act on climate related risks & opportunities and its impact on investments across all asset classes. ISS ESG Climate Solutions is an innovative market leader within its field.

ISS ESG Climate Team is working closely with its clients to help them with risk analysis and is looking for passionate team members to work extensively on climate bespoke products. The successful candidate will spearhead the effort to streamline and automate various custom deliverables in close coordination with key stakeholders within the Climate Solutions team and other teams at ISS ESG.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the wider team, which works on the implementation of client mandates, bespoke data, and report deliveries of ISS ESG Climate Solutions
  • Understand the delivery mechanisms and formats for standard and bespoke climate products across all asset classes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the manual processes and improve analytical efficiency for bespoke products.
  • Working with software development and product management teams to plan, implement, and modify product delivery from bespoke to automation.
  • Support back testing and validation of the proposed solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in quality assurance and review of client deliverables produced by Climate Solutions.
  • Lead and support the process of establishing Systems & Organizational Control (SOC) Audits in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in the strategic business and product planning process, with an intent to induce automation and new technology usage for better client experience.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation and reports on automation processes and results.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience relating to product management or data analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree. A relevant master’s degree (Example: environmental science, environmental engineering, economics, climate change studies).
  • Familiarity with product development concepts within Climate Change or ESG solutions is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Working knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages used for data analysis and automation is a big plus.
  • Excellent command of Excel and good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Integrity, organizational skills, high attention to detail, a self-driven work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work with a highly collaborative, flexible, and innovative team across different locations.
  • Regular work hours with slight flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and clients in different time zones.
