Electrification / Automotive Powertrain Systems Engineer

We are looking for an Electrification / Automotive Powertrain Systems Engineer (m/w/d) to support our Energy Systems R&D team located at our Aachen Engineering Centre in Wegberg.

Your tasks will be:

• Develop advanced powertrain control and thermal management solutions for Commercial Vehicles / Off-Highway Vehicles including fuel cell, hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles;
• Analyze and report market trends, identify key technology trends;
• Propose business development strategies and areas for development of powertrain solutions.

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Automotive / Mechanical / Electrical engineering;
• Good knowledge in system controls and advanced controls (model predictive controls, optimization methods, AI…);
• Good knowledge on rapid prototype system toolchain and development process for control function development;
• Good knowledge in power electronics and drive components (inverter, battery technology and electric motors);
• Fluent level of English, German is an advantage;
• Team player with intercultural competencies as well as independent working style with good self-organization capabilities.
