**Job Description

The Kensho Scribe team is looking for an experienced QA analyst to help us with the quality assurance process for the Scribe application. The QA analyst will work closely with both the Scribe product manager and the engineering team to facilitate creation and execution of manual and automated tests to ensure the ongoing quality of the product. The QA analyst will also work closely with the internal users to support their UAT efforts.

**What You Will Do:

  • Write behavior driven tests using Gherkin syntax
  • Own the quality of the Scribe product together with the product team
  • Own operational product quality processes
  • Work with the frontend and backend engineers to identify current state of the testing
  • Recommend ways to improve existing testing
  • Ensure tests are performant, and successful in daily builds
  • Coordinate manual testing with the team
  • Implement checks in place to prevent regression bugs
  • Help to investigate causes for issues in production
  • Perform operational investigation of transcripts
  • Organize and support UAT with an internal team

**What We Look For:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience performing QA on software applications

  • Attention to detail and self-motivation to ensure accuracy and timeliness

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and processes

  • Curiosity about Scribe application, QA and technology

**What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of software testing experience in all phases of testing including test planning, test execution and test closure

  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation

  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to collaborate effectively with the product manager, engineering team and product users (internal and external)
