As a Quality Engineer at S&P Global, you will play a crucial role in testing applications across various platforms and implementing efficient data comparison methods. Your main objective will be to reduce time to market while maintaining high-quality standards through automation and innovation. Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation and performance solutions that meet organization standards.
  • Create tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and execute them based on functional and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver business functionality on time and with the required quality.
  • Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements.
  • Create test strategies, estimations, and all planning activities.
  • Act as a test lead, planning the work of other testing staff and assigning tasks.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to project staff using strong testing skills.
  • Review and approve the work of project team members and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Focus on building efficient solutions for web, services/APIs, and database testing requirements.
  • Participate in internal/cross-team meetings, project scoping, and technical reviews.
  • Capture quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions.
  • Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Tosca.
  • Design and develop automated tests using automation tools and frameworks.
  • Identify automatable test cases and collaborate with developers to build automation-friendly code.
  • Familiarity with CI, DevOps, and rolling deployment/upgrade models.
  • Test data management and mapping automated test code coverage.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates). S&P Global states that the anticipated base range will be $115,000-$130,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
