Position Summary

Utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in a specialized area of nursing to coordinate, manage and evaluate the delivery of quality patient care to infants, children and adolescents with cerebral palsy. Serves as a role model and mentor. Enters into a formal collaborative practice agreement with physicians to support a designated clinical service.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, therapists, equipment and orthotics specialists, and a social worker.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists in the comprehensive evaluation and management of the special health care needs of infants, children, adolescents and young adults with cerebral palsy.
• Provides education to patients with cerebral palsy and their families under the direction of a physician.
• Performs detailed history and examination on new and return patients to assess needs and report needs to physicians.
