Your responsibilities

Join our team at CERN's SY-STI-TCD section and play a critical role in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of beam-intercepting devices essential to our accelerator complex.

  • As a dedicated and skilled production engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop, assemble, install, and maintain these precision mechanical systems in challenging environments.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in designing devices that withstand high radiation levels during operation, focusing on optimizing both intervention procedures and reliability.
  • You will lead mechanical design efforts, perform structural calculations, and manage project progress to ensure the durability and efficiency of our North Area beam intercepting devices at CERN.
  • Your responsibilities will include coordinating the production, assembly, and validation of equipment, as well as participating in commissioning activities before installation.
  • You will also oversee procuring components, writing technical specifications, and following up on contractors' work to ensure quality and compliance with CERN standards.

If you excel in a dynamic setting and are passionate about overcoming the challenges of advanced production engineering within a world-renowned scientific institution, we invite you to join us in advancing the future of particle physics at CERN.
