SW Developer - Industry 4.0 applications

Your contribution to something big:

Integration into the company's digitalization and Industry 4.0 team, with a strong focus on innovation, developing projects in broad areas such as:

• Digitalization of manufacturing equipment and connection to MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems;
• Management of information systems (servers, databases, and software applications);
• Development of software solutions (backend + frontend);
• Process improvement with the implementation of innovative systems and technologies, such as: IoT | Augmented Reality | Robotics | Data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or big data to capitalize on the collected data.

As a developer on our team, you will work in a constantly evolving environment due to technological advances and our organization's innovation strategy. You will need to create, maintain, and improve systems to meet the specific needs of our employees/clients, with whom you will have direct contact. To achieve this, you should be able to create and analyze requirements, develop and create technical specifications, and implement software solutions. You should also be able to identify and integrate improvements into existing systems.

You will be exposed to a variety of different technologies and develop software with a direct impact on the industry. One of our missions is to explore new technologies that can positively influence the improvement of the production processes at our factory in Aveiro.

Requirements

What distinguishes you:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science / SW Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar;
• Computer skills (preferred but not mandatory):
  • Programming in .NET / C#;
  • Web Development (preferably Angular, ChartJS or ReactJS are also valued);
  • REST APIs;
  • SQL and Non-SQL databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB;
  • Data streaming platforms such as Kafka, Docker, GIT;
  • data visualization tools like Grafana, PowerBi or Tableau;
  • Python or similar;
  • Prior experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Business Intelligence is considered a plus.
• Creativity and analytical skills;
• Strong orientation towards teamwork;
• Advanced knowledge of English (spoken and written).
