SQL Server Data Engineer

This is a consulting role--6 to 12 months.

Must be on-site in Cleveland, Ohio at least 3 days per week.

Technical Skills

1. SQL Server expertise and DB2 database expertise are a plus.
2. Experience using ETL/ELT tools like Talend, Airflow, Informatica, etc.
3. Experience in database querying, query optimization, and tuning.
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS services with data storage, processing, and data migration is a plus
5. Analytics experience and understanding of data modeling concepts (schema designs, normalization/denormalization). Experience in designing efficient data models. Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse is a plus.
6. Scripting language skills like Python for data automation tasks.
7. Knowledge of data warehousing best practices.
8. Familiarity with big data technologies like Kafka for real-time streaming is a plus
9. Familiarity with source and version control systems like Github.

Soft Skills:

1. Problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot performance-related issues, data integration, and migration.
2. Effective communication skills are needed to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders.
