Our Structural group specializes in the engineering of foundations, buildings and structural solutions to the construction industry. Focused on providing the most cost-effective solutions to engineering challenges, we are involved in a diverse range of projects from the initial planning stages to design and construction. An immediate opportunity currently exists in Vancouver, BC, for a Senior Structural Engineering Leader. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience on various projects and demonstrate a high level of understanding of wood, concrete and steel design. They will have experience in managing a team of structural engineers through projects, cultivating relationships both with clients and with the staff under his/her supervision.

While working from the Vancouver office for a majority of the time, you will be able to work in a hybrid mode.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the business development activities through the Metro Vancouver area.
• Liaise directly with clients, and maintain business relationships
• Prepare or supervise the structural design of buildings including commercial, residential, and institutional projects
• Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion
• Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program

Requirements

• Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC.
• StructEng designation with EGBC is an asset
• 10-15 years of directly related experience in structural engineering
• Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks are essential
• Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none
• Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards

The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
