Senior Software Developer

You will be the part of the development team, responsible for publishing the Albion Online game. The publishing infrastructure includes the website of the Albion Online, an internal customer support tool, payment and mailing services and much more. The team actively develops these services and also provides assistance in supporting them in the production environment.

As a Senior Software Developer you will:

• Work on projects for both internal and external audiences, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders
• Design architecture and develop high-quality software in a full stack development context, including both frontend and backend, with a primary focus on server-side Java development, which constitutes approximately 80% of all tasks
• Contribute to the code quality of the team by participating in code reviews
• Advance unit and integration testing of micro services
• Assist in analyzing and fixing issues on the production environment Minimum qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related degree
• Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer in both backend and frontend development, still with a primary focus on Java backend
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot. But also practical experience with JavaScript and at least one frontend development technology (preferably ReactJS and PHP)
• Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Proficiency in modern engineering practices consistently delivering high-quality code such as code reviews, pair programming
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture, API design, REST and event driven communication
• Experience with a broad technical stack, including PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, ELK Stack Preferred Qualifications
• Practical experience with ReactJS and/or PHP
• Experience with website development utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Experience deploying and operating production applications in both public and private cloud infrastructures
• Leadership experience in the past (team leadership, technical leadership, or mentoring)
