Software Engineer

We are now looking for a mid Java Engineer who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. In order to achieve this, you will be working together with the development team.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Acquiring domain knowledge
• Understanding functional and system requirements to create executable test cases
• Helping our test team to create executable test cases
• Designing and developing functionality and test cases for the DeltaXE product according to the required specification
• Be a part of the Scrum team and work closely with consultants and product owners for understanding and verifying the requirements and defining and realizing appropriate implementations
• Maintaining and upgrading existing functionality in DeltaXE product
• Participating in the analysis and composition of requirements, design of architectural and component software features, design and implementation of system, design and implementation of test plan, and documentation of the final solution
• Participating in Scrum process meetings

What you need to succeed:

• At least 4 years of experience in software development and SCRUM project methodology, preferably in an IT product company
• Backend Java, any object-relational-mapping (e.g. Hibernate), JDBC, SQL, XML, (optional: Spring Core/MVC, Hibernate, JSON, REST)
• Experience with JUnit
• Eclipse and Git (optional: Github)
• Advanced communication skills in English both spoken and written
• Willingness to work with Swing desktop application (whereas the main work will be done at the backend)
• Disposition to work from Volue Gdańsk office at least once per week
• As a plus: experience in performance test and load test definition, realisation and execution
