Your mission:

As a Frontend Engineer you will be responsible for migrating our frontend stack platform to React as well as improving our frontend architecture and coaching engineers on design best practices. You will also play a key role in developing and improving our existing platform, and not shy away from contributing to backend and infrastructure tasks when needed.

Your responsibilities:

• You will be working closely with UX and product to influence the solution design with your expertise.
• Lead and mentor engineers in best practices for developing user experiences.
• Pair program with and mentor other engineers in developing their technical and collaboration skills.
• Foster a culture of technical quality and operational excellence within the Engineering Department.
• Be hands-on in designing and improving our overall frontend architecture and platform.

What you'll bring along to be successful:

• At least 5 years of production experience building front-end applications with modern Javascript Frameworks (Angular / React / Vue on production multiple frameworks). Passionate about frontend architecture best practices, and collaboration with UX designers to implement a consistent product design.

• Willing to be hands on and contribute to the other layers of the platform (e.g backend or infrastructure).

• Good judgment in making tradeoffs to balance short-term business needs with medium to long-term technical quality.

• Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work autonomously with a sense of ownership.

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work well within a team, and with teams across the engineering organisation.

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes), and event-based architecture (Kafka)
• Familiarity with backend development concepts (Java / Spring) such as domain modeling, API design, SQL, and performance. Willing to work lower down the stack if needed.
• Production experience in building web frameworks using Spring Boot.
