Senior Principal Software Engineer

As a Senior Principal Software Engineer in the ATPCO organization you are responsible for the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of ATPCO applications and services.

• Informs and guides the business stakeholders regarding cost of technical/infrastructure solutions
• Leads across the organization and contributes to the development of technical requirements and other design artifacts.
• Defines parameters and workload models for performance testing of applications.
• Understands all enterprise architectural strategies, security and operational best practices and standards and ensures adherence to them in technical solutions across teams.
• Promotes successful delivery of customer value across the enterprise through efficient designs, programming techniques and strategies, utilizing innovative techniques where practical.
• Ensures all technical & development artifacts are complete and properly managed as required.
• Adheres to established ATPCO development standards and spearheads appropriate modifications to improve quality and productivity of the team. Ensures that all team members follow ATPCO standards.
• Drives significant process improvements positively impacting organizational performance.
• Exhibits excellent communication skills and has the ability to distill complex technical discussions to business stakeholders.
• Works independently and collaboratively to ensure delivery of solutions that are high quality, well-written and efficient software.
• Formulates high level and detailed estimates for blue sky analyses, high level planning, and impact assessments including clear justification in situations that may involve ambiguous or unclear requirements, including support of other Business Units.
• Leads technical areas anticipating and resolving issues to meet team commitments. Able to manage multiple, complex tasks with a focus on delivering quality and timely results.
• Acts as a technical resource/lead and mentor to engineers within and across teams and evangelizes software engineering principals across the organization
• Has a broad and thorough understanding of current development techniques, methodologies, tools, and technologies across all areas of application development.
• Keeps abreast of emerging technologies, tools and proposes/implements feasible solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions delivery at ATPCO.
• Thrives working in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Provides technical leadership & guidance to cross-functional teams on large-scale development efforts.
• Proactively interfaces with others and identifies options to achieve team success. Establishes positive relationships with peers across the company to ensure meeting customer and enterprise objectives.
• Takes a lead role in anticipating and managing technical issues, mitigating risks, escalating issues appropriately and keeping all necessary parties informed.

Salary Range: USD $156,000 - $190,000.
