As the EU Regulatory Affairs Expert, you will join Allegro’s EU Regulatory Affairs Team in Brussels and serve as a strategic advocate for the company's interests vis-a-vis EU policymakers. In this role you will focus on the core EU regulatory framework for tech companies, including Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act. You will help to build Allegro’s brand recognition and credibility in the EU as a true European tech champion from CEE. You will advocate for the best conditions for European tech to grow and go cross-border while at the same time underline the need for leveling the playing field in e-commerce. With Allegro’s geographical expansion in Europe and development of its services portfolio you will have a chance to dive into many areas related to platform economy, including competition, consumer law and internal market regulations.

You will represent Allegro vis-a-vis EU policymakers, business organisations and other stakeholders. Your role will involve ensuring Allegro's voice is effectively heard in Brussels to support our broader regulatory strategy, contributing to the success of Allegro across all its markets.

You will work within a multi-stakeholder environment. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Regulatory Affairs Team based in Warsaw, as well as PA, Antitrust, Compliance, Legal and PR Teams. You will report directly to the Head of Office in Brussels. The role is based in Brussels with occasional travel, including several trips to Warsaw each year.

What does this role involve?

  • Monitoring and analyzing developments arising from enforcement of the Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act and other EU legislation related to e-commerce and platform economy;
  • Following new EU legislative proposals and assessing their impact on our business;
  • Planning and executing advocacy campaigns in partnership with relevant internal and external partners (agencies);
  • Representing Allegro in business organisations, participating actively in working parties, building alliances, forming ad-hoc coalitions, drafting position papers and aligning with other stakeholders;
  • Establishing relationships with EU institutions and other stakeholders including NGOs and think-tanks;
  • Coordinating with other companies and external partners.
  • Informing Allegro’s leadership on top policy developments in the EU and advising on company’s strategy and involvement;
  • Flagging EU policy trends to the Regulatory Affairs Team in Warsaw and other internal stakeholders; .
  • Organizing meetings, events, and relevant materials (briefings);
  • Supporting social media activities for Public & Regulatory Affairs.

This is the right job for you, if

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant regulatory experience in-house, in an agency or in a governmental role;
  • You hold a Master’s degree in law (preferred);
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of the EU institutions, legislative process in the EU and working methods in Brussels;
  • You have a solid experience in leading engagements in EU policy process;
  • You have ability to represent the company at the highest levels of decision making;
  • You demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills:
  • You can think strategically, assess and mitigate regulatory risks, collaborate constructively with others ;
  • You maintain an extensive network of contacts in Brussels.
  • You have advanced proficiency in English and Polish, both written and verbal. Czech, Slovak or French will be an additional advantage.
  • You are eligible for the EU Transparency Register.
