Senior QA Engineer

We are hiring a Senior QA Engineer located in Prague, the role is hybrid with at least two days in our Central office in Prague.

About the team:

We are an international team of four operating within the Central/Eastern European Time zone. We are developing a full-stack application using TypeScript, React, and Node.js. This platform is designed as a tool for our colleagues, allowing them to efficiently manage in-product content and its targeting, focusing on promotions, engagement, and more. Our work is not customer-facing; instead, we are creating an internal tool to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal processes.

About the role:

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be ensuring the quality of the platform. You will be identifying issues, proactively suggesting improvements, testing, and automating to drive efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functional testing, maintenance, and development of automated tests and streamlining all aspects of testing.
• Identifying and reporting defects, developing, and executing test plans and test cases.
• Ensuring the highest quality of UX/UI, as well as in other areas like security and performance; proactively suggesting better solutions.
• Collaborating with other teams and evaluating whether the results meet the specified requirements, as well as identifying issues during the design phase.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Continuously seek to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Proficient in the English language. Must be communicative and descriptive in both written and spoken word.
• Capable of effectively collaborating within a remote team setting in the CET/EET time zone using agile principles.
• Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance.
• Knowledge of fundamental programming concepts and experience with any programming language.
• Ability to develop comprehensive test scenarios and automation scripts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and project setup.
• Nice to have experience with languages TypeScript/JavaScript and testing frameworks like Jest, webdriver.io, playwright or other selenium-like frameworks.
