Senior Data Modeler

The Senior Data Architect/Data Modeler role will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of data models and standards for Enterprise data platforms. As a data architect and data modeler, the candidate should understand IT Platforms, and be able to provide data solutions that help solve their challenges and data needs.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into working logical and physical Service Layer Data models.
• Strong experience with Dimensional & Tabular Modelling (OLAP/Cubes)
• Expertise in OLTP/OLAP system study, developing Database schema like Star Schema and Snowflake Schema used in multidimensional modeling.
• Identify business needs, organize and define data, create and maintain Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models; Maintain appropriate Version Control on data models.
• Participate in the de-normalization of the data model, ensuring that business rules which are impacted during de-normalization are implemented via an alternate mechanism (i.e. trigger, application code).
• Working experience in designing for performance in both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with integrating multi-cloud services with on-premises technologies.
• Must have experience working with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure or GCP) and next-generation platforms like Snowflake.
• Strong experience in cloud modernization programs
• Present data designs and project approaches to the DRB for review and approval and ensure all DRB artifacts are created.
• Identify opportunities to reuse data and reduce redundancy in data across the enterprise.
