You may be the perfect candidate for this or another role at EpiSci.

Core Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a team of engineers developing collaborative autonomy behaviors for large teams of heterogenous autonomous vehicles, across different domains (e.g., surface, air), with different sensor suites (e.g., camera, radar) that work together to accomplish complex mission vignettes. Your team will continuously add capability and demonstrate the solution to customers in real-world scenarios on a variety of HW platforms. Your responsibility will primarily be enhancing the computer vision ATR system, but you will work with the team to make the entire system successful.
  • Adapt and develop cutting edge image processing, computer vision and object detection algorithms to operate in complex environments, with a need for persistent target tracking and integration within autonomous systems.
  • Adapt and develop vision autonomy algorithms to control a camera in pursuit of better situational awareness and to support agent behaviors (e.g., intelligently scanning the environment, keeping an object centered in the FOV of the camera while vehicle is underway, dynamically zooming in on a target to get better imagery, etc.).
  • Work with a team of engineers to conceive, develop, and implement machine learning-based methods for platform-agnostic automated target recognition solutions. Some of these may involve few-shot or zero-shot learning.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to sensors and communications, ensuring robust and reliable operation.
  • Contribute novel engineering ideas, algorithms and concepts for new and existing research and development projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, domain experts, prior DoD warfighters, and program managers to build software solutions for military missions.
  • Effectively communicate solutions to a diverse team of engineers, program managers, executives, and sponsors.
