You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.

We are seeking an Engineer III with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering field. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. Responsibilities:

  • Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitry to meet customer's requirements
  • Provide in-depth circuit analysis, and present it for review
  • Build circuit schematics and harnessing diagrams
  • Provide guidance for component placement and layout - Write test plans for circuit card assemblies
  • Conduct circuit card assembly testing and integration
  • Troubleshoot circuit card assemblies using various test equipment (DMMs, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, waveform generators, power supplies, etc.)
  • Contribute to the overall success of the project by working closely with other team members throughout the design and integration process

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Direct experience in digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Direct experience with schematic capture and circuit layout tools
  • Solid understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Experience working as a part of a multi-disciplinary design and development team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S Security Clearance or higher security clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
  • Familiarity with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools such as LT Spice, PowerCAD, etc.
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with programmable logic design using VHDL
  • Experience with power supply and filter design
  • Knowledge of IPC standards - Knowledge of DO-254 requirements-based design and verification as it applies to FPGA design
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461 standards
  • Experience with configuration management tools, and the ECR/ECN process
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
