Application/Cloud Architect

ARHS Group - part of Accenture - is looking for an Application/Cloud Architect for one of its clients at the EU Institutions.

Role & Responsibilities

• Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
• Data analysis and data modelling.
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
• Production of software architecture documents.
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

Your profile

• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects
• Excellent Team Player
• Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1) is mandatory. Ability to speak French would be considered an advantage
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained contain personal and confidential data

Technical skills

• 5 years’ experience in the development of Java-based back-end systems
• 5 years’ experience with the Spring Boot and Spring framework and libraries
• 2 years’ experience in the development of Angular-based applications
• 2 years’ experience in the development of automated tests (unit, integration, contract-based, APIs, end-to-end)
• Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns.
• Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud.
• Good knowledge of applications design.
• Good knowledge of modelling tools.
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture.
• Good knowledge of business process analysis.
• Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture).
• Rapid self-starting capability
• Experience in working in team
• Solution oriented
• Ability to analyze the root cause when users encounter problems with existing processes
• Knowledge of following tools:
  • Atlassian Jira
  • Atlassian Confluence
  • MS Teams
