Cloud Developer

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Cloud Developer (Migration) to join our newly created sub-practice, dedicated to serving a mature and impactful long-term client in the financial services industry. This role requires a balance of independent work and teamwork, focusing on advancing the client's agenda. The ideal candidate will possess some understanding of the financial services sector, coupled with a proven track record of independent work, team collaboration, and client relationship management. What you’ll do:

• Migrating applications from an on-premises location to cloud service providers.
• Extending products and services, as part of cloud migration, on the latest technologies through contributions in development, enhancements, testing and implementation.
• Developing, modifying, extending code for building cloud infrastructure, and automating using CI/CD pipeline.
• Ability to perform problem analysis, data analysis, reporting, and communication.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience using Java and AWS.
• Experience with Java 8+, Spring (Data, MVC, Security, Core, etc.), App/Web server(Tomcat, JBoss, etc.), JavaScript, RDBMS(Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Experience in AWS Compute (EC2, EMR), AWS Storage (S3, EBS), AWS Databases (RDS, DynamoDB), AWS Data Integration (Glue).
• Proficiency in CI/CD and deployment automation using GITLAB pipeline.
• Proficiency in one or more other programming languages e.g., Python, Scala.
• Preferred Experience: Building and testing systems end-to-end.
• Preferred Experience: Building web UIs using React, Vue or Angular.
• Preferred Technologies: Docker, Terraform, Playwright and AWS services (IAM, S3, CloudFront, Secrets Manager, EC2, ECS, ALB, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, AmazonMQ.
