Senior Mechanical Engineer

This role can be based at can any of the following sites; Culham, Oxfordshire

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

The Role

The Magnetic Engineering Group oversees the design, evaluation, and implementation of Magnet Systems and the necessary thermal management systems.

This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing work related to Magnet or Cryogenic systems design and/or evaluation, either independently or by guiding others. Additionally, the role promotes the utilization of suitable processes and tools while supporting their ongoing development, offering technical leadership and expertise.

In this role you will be responsible for proposing, defining, and delivering small projects, as well as leading work packeams to deliver engineering solutions for fusion and experimental devices, and technology applications in a cooperative manner.
