As a new member of the Finance Specialist Team, you will be part of an international team of accounting experts. You will address technical accounting topics, support group consolidation and external reporting, provide internal accounting and reporting training, and contribute to the deal hub team with your accounting expertise and compliance knowledge.
Your key tasks
- Provide technical accounting expertise to internal stakeholders on revenue recognition, lease arrangements, capitalization of development projects, and more.
- Prepare technical accounting memorandums for special transactions, non-recurring items, or other significant issues.
- Support monthly consolidation, prepare internal reporting and analysis, and contribute to headquarter reporting.
- Define and maintain Avaloqβs accounting policies.
- Participate in mergers & acquisitions and other finance related projects.
- Prepare training materials and contribute to internal training sessions.
- Act as a role model for the local finance community.
Requirements
- Has significant experience in audit and accounting practices with a Big Four audit firm.
- Possesses a strong acumen in applying International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Has achieved a CPA or similar certification.
- Is proficient in English, both oral and written.
- Is a self-starter, highly motivated, and capable of working cross-functionally.
- Is accustomed to working largely independently.
